Inspired by the Oil painting Syria, Far from Home I depicts the impact of “war” on Syrian architecture. I intended to translate the fundamental ideas from the two-dimensional painting into a three-dimensional architectural installation to emphasise the reality of the devastation.

​Far from Home I acted as a prototype for the large-scale installation Far from Home III, which was exhibited in Loughborough Universities Fine Art Degree Show 2021 and was shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in 2021.
